CONSENSUS, LLC was formed in 2007 by Jim Knutson. As a pioneer and long time leader in the energy efficiency industry, Jim and his team quickly recognized how the EPACT 2005 179D Energy Efficiency Tax Deductions could be used to enable the advancement and growth of Energy Efficiency Projects.  In 2013, Jake Knutson came on board to drive the operations team to deliver 179D Certifications for clients across the USA for contractors, engineers and industries such as K-12, Higher Education, Municipal Government, Commercial and Industrial building owners.  In 2023, the CONSESUS advisory tax practice was acquired by Energy Tax Partners, LLC and Jim became its President.
